RV reducer oil leakage: In order to improve efficiency, worm gear reducers generally use nonferrous metal as the worm gear, while the worm gear is made of harder steel. Due to its sliding friction transmission, high heat will be generated during operation, resulting in differences in thermal expansion between various parts and seals of the RV reducer, resulting in gaps in various mating surfaces. As the temperature increases, the oil becomes thinner, which is prone to leakage.

There are four main reasons. One is whether the material matching of the RV reducer is reasonable, the other is the surface quality of the meshing friction surface, the third is the selection of lubricating oil, whether the amount of addition is correct, and the fourth is the assembly quality and use environment of the RV reducer.

Solution: Ensure assembly quality. In order to ensure assembly quality, the factory has purchased and self-made some special tools. When disassembling and installing components such as the worm gear, worm, bearing, gear, etc. of the RV reducer, it is necessary to avoid using other tools such as a hammer to directly knock them; When replacing gears, worm gears and worms, try to choose original accessories and replace them in pairs; When assembling the output shaft, pay attention to tolerance fits.

In addition, during daily use, the following reasons can easily cause oil leakage in the RV reducer.

1. During equipment maintenance, oil leakage occurs due to improper removal of dirt from the joint surface or improper selection of sealing materials.

2. During operation, the oil tank is stirred violently, and lubricating oil splashes across various parts of the machine. If there is too much fuel, a large amount of lubricating oil accumulates on the shaft seal, joint surface, etc., causing leakage.

3. Unreasonable design of reducer structure

1). The inspection well cover plate is too thin and easy to deform after tightening the bolts, resulting in uneven joint surface and oil leakage and contact clearance;

2). There is no oil return from the oil tank, and lubricating oil accumulates on the shaft seal, end cap, joint surface, etc., causing clearance leakage under differential pressure;

3). The design of the shaft seal structure of the RV reducer is not reasonable. When using an oil groove or saw ring type shaft seal structure in the early stage of assembly, if the contact between the shaft neck and the shaft seal is not ideal, the felt pressure seal will fail in a short time, and it is easy to block due to the oil return hole in the groove.
