Laser welding robots use semiconductor lasers as welding heat sources, making them increasingly widely used for welding camera parts in electronic devices such as mobile phones and laptops. Semiconductor lasers (also known as laser diodes (LD)) serve as the welding heat source for laser welding robots, making the application of miniaturized and high-performance laser welding robot systems a reality.
Working principle of laser welding robot:
The semiconductor laser soldering robot system is equipped with a position correction system to ensure the accuracy of solder joint positions and the optimization of process parameters. The principle is to use a camera to illuminate the marked points on the workpiece, and then use a high-performance image processing device and laser displacement sensor to correct the welding position and height. Set process parameters such as output power, laser irradiation time, and welding temperature curve through the LCD touch screen. The laser head is equipped with an anti smoke optical lens and protection system. When repairing, simply replace the front protective glass of the lens. The compact and powerful laser generator in the system can be used to select the laser beam that is suitable for the point diameter. The maximum laser power is 30W and 50W (air cooled), and it can be continuously adjusted to achieve the best welding power.

Characteristics of laser welding robots
1. It has non-contact properties and the minimum point diameter formed by laser can reach 0 1mm, the minimum tin feeding device can reach 0.2mm, which can achieve micro spacing packaging (mounting) component welding.
2. Because it is a short-term local heating, the thermal impact on the substrate and surrounding parts is minimal, and the quality of the solder joints is good.
3. No soldering iron consumption, no need to replace the heater, and high work efficiency during continuous operation.
4. When conducting lead-free welding, it is not easy to cause solder joint cracks.
5. The surface temperature of the solder should be measured non-contact, rather than using the temperature measurement method of actual contact with the solder joint.

Application of Laser Welding Robot:
Laser welding robot systems have been increasingly widely used in the welding of camera parts, LCD parts, micro motors, micro transformers and other components of electronic devices such as mobile phones and laptops. They can also be used in fields such as LCD TVs, high-end digital cameras, aerospace and military manufacturing, and high-end automotive parts manufacturing.
