Industrial robots are increasingly used in the manufacturing industry, mainly in harsh conditions, or in situations with high requirements for work intensity and sustainability. Brand robots have a low failure rate, so they have been widely recognized.

1、 General maintenance of industrial robot body

 

1): Cleaning robot

Regularly clean the base and arms of the robot; High pressure cleaning equipment can be used, but direct spraying to the robot should be avoided; If the robot has protection such as grease film, remove it as required. (Avoid using strong solvents such as acetone, avoid using plastic protection, and to prevent static electricity, use a wet or damp cloth to wipe non-conductive surfaces, such as spraying equipment, hoses, etc. Do not use dry cloth.)

2): Cleaning and maintenance of hollow wrists

According to the actual situation, hollow wrists need to be cleaned frequently to avoid accumulation of dust and particles. Clean them with lint free, clean cloth. After cleaning the wrists, add a small amount of Vaseline or similar substances to the surface of the wrists, which will make cleaning more convenient in the future.

 

3): Regular inspection

Check for oil leakage; Check whether the gear clearance is too large; Check whether the cables between the control cabinet, purging unit, process cabinet, and manipulator are damaged.

 

4): Inspection of fixing bolts

The fastening bolts and clamps used to secure the robot to the foundation must be kept clean and must not come into contact with corrosive liquids such as water, acid or alkali solutions. If the anti-corrosion protective layer such as the zinc coating or paint is damaged, the relevant parts need to be cleaned and coated with anti-corrosion paint.

2. Axle braking test

During operation, the motor brakes of each shaft will wear normally. In order to determine whether the brakes are operating correctly, a test must be performed at this time.

 

Test method: Check the brake of each shaft motor as described below.

 

1): Operate the manipulator shaft to the corresponding position where the total weight of the manipulator and all loads reach the maximum value (maximum static load);

 

2): Motor power off;

 

3): Check whether all shafts are maintained in their original positions;

 

If the robot still does not change position when the motor is powered off, the braking torque is sufficient. You can also manually move the robot to check if further protective measures are needed. When a mobile robot comes to an emergency stop, the brakes help to stop, and therefore may cause wear. Therefore, repeated testing is required during the service life of the machine to verify whether the machine maintains its original capabilities.

3. System lubrication and refueling

 

1): Shaft auxiliary gear and gear lubrication and oiling

Ensure that the robot and related systems are turned off and in a locked state. Squeeze a small amount of (1 gram) of grease into each grease fitting. Lubricate the auxiliary gear grease fittings and each gear grease fitting one by one, and do not inject too much to avoid damaging the seal.

 

2): Hollow wrist lubrication

There are 10 lubrication points for hollow wrists, and only a few drops of lubricant (1 gram) are required for each grease fitting. Do not inject excessive lubricant to avoid damaging the wrist seal and internal sleeve.
