The Implementation Plan puts forward specific development goals, that is, by 2025, the density of robots in the manufacturing industry will double that in 2020, the application depth and breadth of service robots and special robots will be significantly improved, and the ability of robots to promote high-quality economic and social development will be significantly enhanced. Focus on the ten key application fields, break through more than 100 innovative application technologies and solutions of robots, promote more than 200 typical application scenarios of robots with high technology level, innovative application models and significant application results, and create a number of "robot+" application bench-marking enterprises.
At the same time, the Implementation Plan defines ten key areas of robot application, namely manufacturing, agriculture, construction, energy, commerce and logistics in the field of economic development, medical health, elderly care services, education, commercial community services, safety emergency and extreme environmental applications in the field of social and livelihood.
In order to enhance the basic supporting capacity of "robot+" application, the Implementation Plan also proposes five measures: first, build a collaborative innovation system for robot production and use, second, build a "robot+" application experience and test verification center, third, accelerate the development and promotion of robot application standards, fourth, carry out industrial and regional "robot+" application innovation practice, and fifth, build a "robot+" application supply and demand docking platform.
The introduction of the Implementation Plan has pointed out the direction for the development of Chinese robot industry. Li Wenjuan, director of the Intelligent Equipment Research Office of the Industrial Policy Research Institute of the China Electronics and Information Industry Development Research Institute, believes that the Implementation Plan focuses on product innovation and scene promotion, guides self-owned brand robots to grasp strategic opportunities, focuses on ten key areas of application, and promotes the high-quality development of Chinese robot industry with application as the traction.
Strong demand, industrial robot development speed up
Manufacturing is the first robot application field mentioned in the Implementation Plan. The Implementation Plan clearly points out that the development of new robot products such as welding, assembly, spraying, handling, grinding and polishing will accelerate the application and expansion of robotic production equipment to relevant fields. Develop specialized and customized solutions and software and hardware products, accumulate experience and knowledge such as model library, process software package, deeply integrate robot control software and integrated application system, and promote large-scale application in industries such as automobile, electronics, machinery, light industry, textile, building materials, medicine, etc., bathroom, ceramics, photovoltaic, smelting, casting, sheet metal, hardware, furniture and other sub-fields, spray glaze, trimming, polishing Grinding, welding, spraying, handling, stacking and other key links. Promote the construction of intelligent manufacturing demonstration plants and create typical application scenarios for industrial robots. We will develop intelligent manufacturing systems based on industrial robots, and help the digital and intelligent transformation of manufacturing industry.
In recent years, the development of industrial robots in China has been accelerating. According to the latest data released by the China Robotics Industry Alliance, in December 2022, the output of industrial robots of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country will reach 40000 sets. From January to December 2022, the total output of industrial robots of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country was 443000 sets. In December 2022, the output of service robots of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide will be 491000 sets. From January to December 2022, the total output of service robots of industrial enterprises above designated size in China will be 6.458 million sets.
While the domestic market is booming, Chinese industrial robots are also accelerating the pace of "going to sea". According to the data released by the China Robot Industry Alliance, in December 2022, Chinese industrial robot equipment exports amounted to US $50 million, imports amounted to US $180 million, and trade deficit was US $130 million. From January to December 2022, Chinese industrial robot equipment exports totaled US $610 million, imports totaled US $2 billion and trade deficit totaled US $1.39 billion.
With the acceleration of digital development of the economy and society, especially the acceleration of digital transformation in all walks of life, industrial robots have become the core equipment for the development of intelligent manufacturing by major enterprises, and the density of manufacturing robots has increased rapidly. Statistics show that China has become the largest robot application market in the world for 9 consecutive years, and the consumption of industrial robots will account for more than 50% of the global total in 2021.
Industrial robots are being applied in more and more scenarios, from 25 industry categories and 52 industry categories ten years ago to more than 60 industry categories and 168 industry categories today. As we can see, industrial robots are not only applied in high-end manufacturing industries such as aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding, semiconductor, but also in traditional industries such as furniture, food, building materials, textile, etc., effectively solving the problems of high-risk operations, difficult precision processing, difficult recruitment and employment.
