On September 25th, the "Big Zero Bay" Robot Innovation Alliance held a launch ceremony.

 

How can robots assist in the development of intelligent manufacturing?

 

Ding Hanzuo, an academician of the CAS Member and a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, believes that roboticized manufacturing is the frontier development direction of intelligent manufacturing and has become a research hotspot in the forefront of manufacturing discipline. Industrial reform with relevant technologies at the core has begun to take shape, and will eventually achieve ubiquitous manufacturing through ubiquitous robots, ubiquitous sensors, and ubiquitous intelligence.

On September 25th, the 2023 Pujiang Innovation Forum - Robot Innovation Technology Forum was held in the "Big Zero Bay" of Minhang District, Shanghai. The forum aims to assist in the innovation path of interdisciplinary development of robots and contribute new wisdom to the construction of the "Big Zero Bay" science and technology innovation policy source functional zone.

 

At the opening ceremony, the "Big Zero Bay" Robot Innovation Alliance was officially established. The alliance was jointly initiated by 10 units including universities, parks, and enterprise representatives. In the future, it will serve as a bridge between government, enterprise, and school, supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship work of enterprises in the robot field in the Big Zero Bay area.

 

Luo Dajin, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, congratulated the forum and emphasized that the research and development and industrial application of robots are important indicators for measuring a country's level of technological innovation and high-end manufacturing development. In the process of promoting the development of the robot industry, cultivating high-level technological innovation talents is the source of vitality for technological support. Shanghai actively promotes deep cooperation between enterprises in the field of robotics and research institutes, guiding researchers to continuously innovate and implement scientific research achievements. He hopes that this robot innovation technology forum can provide original scientific ideas and driving forces for the development of the robot industry, and further promote the integration of industry, academia, research and application.

 

After years of deep cultivation and layout, Minhang District has gathered various hard technology enterprises such as medical robots, surgical robots, collaborative robots, and manufacturing robots, and is accelerating the construction of an intelligent robot industry cluster with core competitiveness and technological dominance. Zhao Liang, Deputy District Mayor of Minhang District, Shanghai, expressed the hope that Minhang District can take this forum as an opportunity to focus on national major strategies, deepen cooperation with Shanghai Jiaotong University in the construction of "Double First Class" schools, as well as regional innovation policy sources, achievement transformation, talent cultivation, and innovation system construction, and strive to achieve greater results in developing Minhang, serving Shanghai, and integrating into the international community.

 

This forum is jointly hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the People's Government of Minhang District, Shanghai.

On the occasion of the 20th National Science Popularization Day, the Party Committee of Kangyuan Community in Qingyuan Street, Tianxin District, Changsha City, in collaboration with the member unit of the "Love Store Alliance" - Tianxin District Youth Robot Competition Base, held a science popularization exhibition and experience activity on the fourth floor of the community called "Happy Mid Autumn Festival, Making Mooncakes with Robots". There are many projects set up at the event site, and in order to facilitate children's integration, a fun robot challenge game has been set up. Children aged 3-12 have a total of 5 game segments: flip flop, bridge ball, shooting gun, throwing ball battle, and mooncake self-service machine. Children of every age group can find challenging projects that are suitable for them.

The popularity of mooncake making robots is the highest. People and machines work together to complete mooncake making, and parents and children constantly examine and ask questions about the logic and principles of robot design. Teachers also patiently provide parents and children with answers one by one.

 

In the final segment, everyone had a fun Q&A on Mid Autumn Festival knowledge, with parents and children actively participating and answering questions. The scene was also filled with a joyful atmosphere.

 

Since the beginning of this year, various activities of the "Love Store Alliance" in Kangyuan Community have been continuously promoted. Through this science popularization activity, children and robots cooperate to complete the production of mooncakes, experience the collision of traditional Chinese culture and modern technology combination, cultivate children's comprehensive qualities of hands-on thinking, and spend a meaningful and fruitful holiday together.
