When winter comes, in order to make lithium batteries play a greater role, we must maintain AGV batteries. How should we maintain AGV batteries in winter? Let's have a look!
1. Indoor charging, avoid low temperature
In the case of cold winter, put the AGV indoors in a cool, dry and safe environment to ensure that the AGV is far away from hazardous substances, such as corrosive chemicals, dangerous mechanical equipment, etc., and try to charge indoors to avoid the low temperature environment. It is not recommended to place the AGV outdoors, because the battery may be damaged if the outdoor environment is harsh or the temperature is too low.
2. Charging when in use, shallow charging
The lower the temperature is, the lower the battery activity will be. This will lead to a significant reduction in the charging and discharging efficiency of AGV trolley and AGV forklift batteries. It is very easy to cause over discharge and overcharge, which may affect the service life of the battery, or cause combustion accidents. Therefore, pay more attention to charging in the form of shallow charging in winter. At the same time, the battery should be fully charged in winter, and the discharged AGV lithium battery should be charged within 24 hours, so as to extend the battery life. The empty AGV may cause damage to the internal battery cell, which is irreversible.
3. Correct charging mode
When charging, you need to use the correct charging method to charge. Connect the charging head to the lithium battery, then connect the power plug of the charging head to the power supply, and connect the power supply. The correct charging method is also an important part of battery maintenance.
4. Adaptive Charge Point
The charging pile of AGV shall be matched with lithium battery. If an unsuitable charger is used, the charging terminal current may cause a short circuit fault after passing through the lithium battery, thus causing a lithium battery safety accident. This is not conducive to the maintenance of AGV batteries, unsafe and threatening personal safety. If your charger can not be used normally, it is recommended to contact the official to purchase a regular charger to ensure the charging quality.
5. Maintenance is also required for shelving
In winter, the battery should be kept fully charged, so as to prolong the battery life. If the battery is not used for a long time, it is better to charge it once a month to prevent the AGV lithium battery from self discharging, damaging the battery structure and reducing the number of battery cycles.
