It is expected that 14 million robots will be put into use in China by 2030
On March 23rd, the press conference for the 13th China International Robot Summit Forum and the 9th Chapec Award Ceremony was held in Shenzhen.
The reporter learned from the press conference that China is the fastest-growing robot market in the world, with the largest number of newly installed robots each year, becoming an important support force for the steady development of the global robot industry. It is expected that by 2030, 14 million robots in China will be put into use. According to statistics, in 2021, the installation of industrial robots in China reached 243,300 units, accounting for half of the global total installation of industrial robots. The application of industrial robots in China has covered 60 major industries and 168 medium industries in the national economy. In 2021, the density of robots in China's manufacturing industry reached 322 units per 10,000 people, marking the first time that the density of robots has entered the top five globally. According to Tianyancha data, there are currently more than 483,000 robot related enterprises in China, of which over 128,000 were newly registered in 2022, with a growth rate of 36.9%.
Li Yaping, President of the China Association for the Application of Mechatronic Integration Technology, pointed out that China's robot industry has basically formed a complete industrial chain system from components to complete machines, and then to integrated applications. The deep integration of artificial intelligence, 5G, new energy, new materials, and robotics technology has ushered in a historical opportunity period of upgrading and leapfrog development for the robotics industry.
It is reported that the 13th China International Robot Summit Forum and the 9th Chapec Award Ceremony will be held in Wuhu, Anhui from May 16 to 18, 2023. At that time, well-known enterprises in the entire robot industry chain will be invited to focus on exploring cutting-edge hotspots, core technologies, innovative applications, and business models in the global robot industry.
