Industrial robots are becoming more and more “intelligent”. Where is the future growth point?

Especially in the industrial robot industry, up to now, some enterprises have boosted the digital and intelligent development of the industrial robot industry through fund-raising, financing and other ways.

From the field of manufacturing industry to medical services, military aerospace, home entertainment, disaster relief and other fields, robots, as indispensable automation equipment in the field of advanced manufacturing technology, are increasingly widely used in their scenarios. In recent years, the robot industry has developed rapidly, driven by market demand, and supported by the development of new generation information technology and national policies, and the scale of China's robot market has been expanding.

Since the beginning of this year, robots, the “race track”, have been favored by the capital. With continuous investment and financing in the industry, the capital has made breakthroughs in all aspects of the industrial chain, further promoting the development of the robot industry. Especially in the industrial robot industry, up to now, some enterprises have boosted the digital and intelligent development of the industrial robot industry through fund-raising, financing and other ways.

China’s industrial robots rank first in the world

As we all know, robots are known as the "pearl at the top of the manufacturing crown", and their R&D, manufacturing and application are important signs to measure a country's scientific and technological innovation and high-end manufacturing level. Today, China has also developed into an important force supporting the development of the world robot industry.

On September 6, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held the fifth press conference of the series of "New Era Industrial and Informatization Development". The data released at the conference showed that the scale of China's robot industry grew rapidly, and the total operating revenue of the robot industry in 2021 exceeded 130 billion yuan. Among them, the output of industrial robots reached 366000 units, 10 times higher than that in 2015, and it remained the largest industrial robot market in the world.

In recent years, with the gradual fading of the domestic demographic dividend, the accelerated rise of human costs, and the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing in the domestic manufacturing industry, the demand for its industrial automation is also accelerating.

In this context, with the further development and popularization of 5G technology, cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and other information technologies, China has accelerated the pace of digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading. Industrial robots are becoming the main force in the intelligent manufacturing industry, and intelligent manufacturing with its core has become the main way of digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.

According to the China Robot Industry Development Report (2021) released by the China Electronics Society, the robot market in China is expected to reach 83.9 billion yuan in 2021, of which the industrial robot market is about 44.57 billion yuan, accounting for 53.1%. At the same time, the average annual compound growth rate of China's industrial robot market in the past five years has exceeded 12%, and it is estimated that the market size of China's industrial robot will be close to 50 billion yuan in 2022.

The development trend of industrial robots is optimistic

Relying on the popularization and use of information technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing, and with the wave of production intelligence and digital transformation and upgrading in the domestic industrial manufacturing field, the industrial robot industry maintains an optimistic development prospect.

In recent years, the industrial robot industry has developed rapidly, on the one hand, because of the favorable national policies and the ability of China's manufacturing industry to develop high-quality manufacturing, which further catalyzes the application of robots; On the other hand, the use of robots can not only reduce the cost of employment, but also improve efficiency for the production development of enterprises in the process of pursuing high-quality development and transformation in all walks of life.

From the national level, the state has issued a series of incentive policies to vigorously support the development of the industrial robot industry. From the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of Industrial Robot Industry issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2013 to the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" for the Development of Robot Industry issued by the State Council in 2021, all of them show the importance of the country to the industrial robot industry, which also plays an important role in guiding and promoting the development of industrial robots.

From the market level, industrial robots are growing rapidly. According to statistics, the application of industrial robots covers 60 industry categories and 168 industry categories in the national economy. In addition to automobile and 3C electronics, the two most demanding industries, chemical, petroleum, lithium battery, photovoltaic and other application markets are also gradually opening.

In terms of technology, industrial robot technology has been innovated and the localization process has been accelerated. At present, with the increasing popularity of new generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, we focus on breaking through the key core technical difficulties of industrial robots, overcoming the problems in the field of key parts, and orderly promoting the development of automation, intelligence, and digitalization of China's manufacturing industry.
