Recently, a news report said that in a robot production workshop in Changzhou, Jiangsu, since the fourth quarter, the downstream demand has increased significantly. At present, the orders in hand of enterprises have been scheduled to the beginning of next year, and the average daily shipment volume has increased more than twice compared with the first half of the year.
With the continuous expansion of robot applications, the demand of many industries is increasing, resulting in the shortage of industrial robots.
According to IFR data, the number of newly installed industrial robots in the world will reach a record high in 2021, reaching 517000 units, with a year-on-year growth of 31.2%. The compound annual growth rate in the five years from 2016 to 2021 will reach 11%. Among them, the newly installed industrial robots in the automobile industry will grow fastest in 2021, with a year-on-year growth rate of 97%.
Although affected by the epidemic, industrial robot enterprises have said that production and delivery have been delayed, but with the large-scale epidemic gradually becoming stable, the output has returned to positive growth in September 2022, showing a further growth trend. New energy, new energy vehicles and 3C electronics, the three industries with the most concentrated robot applications, still play a leading role.
According to the data of Robotics Branch of China Machinery Industry Federation, at the production level, the number of industrial robots remains above 40000 per month. At present, we have less than 200 industrial robots per 10000 people, while Japan and South Korea have 600-1000. There is still huge room for development.
In order to further promote the development of the robot industry, China is also promoting intelligent manufacturing 2025, vigorously promoting machine replacement, digital and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing industry, and constantly becoming a dominant brand of intelligent manufacturing.
