China is the world's largest industrial robot market
Deputy Director of the First Equipment Industry Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said on September 6 that the scale of China's robot industry has grown rapidly, and the total operating income of the robot industry in 2021 will exceed 130 billion yuan. Among them, the output of industrial robots reached 366000 units, 10 times higher than that in 2015, and it remained the largest industrial robot market in the world.
Guo Shougang made the above statement at the news conference themed "Vigorously develop high-end equipment manufacturing industry" held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the 6th.
Guo Shougang said that robots are known as "the pearl at the top of the manufacturing crown", and for robot's R&D, manufacturing and application are important signs to measure a country's scientific and technological innovation and high-end manufacturing level. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China's robot industry has flourished, greatly changing people's production and lifestyle, and injecting strong momentum into economic and social development.
The data released at the meeting showed that the scale of China's robot industry grew rapidly, among which industrial robot applications covered 60 major industries and 168 medium industries in the national economy. According to statistics of relevant institutions, the density of robots in China's manufacturing industry will reach more than 300 per 10000 people in 2021, an increase of about 13 times over 2012.
In addition, service robots are widely used in catering, education, medical care, logistics and other fields. For example, at the 2022 China International Trade in Services Fair, which just ended, Meituan displayed automatic distribution vehicles and distribution drones, which realized automatic distribution through intelligent scheduling, further improving the logistics efficiency. According to Tianyan data, up to now, there are more than 439000 service robot related enterprises in China, including more than 79000 newly registered enterprises from January to August 2022.
"Robots are showing their skills in more and more fields, and constantly breed new industries, new models and new formats." Guo Shougang said that the technical level of China's robot industry has been further improved, the research and development of core components such as precision reducer, intelligent controller and real-time operating system has made progress, and 101 specialized and new "little giant" enterprises in the industry have accelerated their development.
He said that, in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will fully implement the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" for the Development of the Robot Industry, carry out actions to improve the key foundation of robots, improve standards, testing and certification systems, speed up the completion of industrial weaknesses such as special materials, core components, and processing technology, strengthen the characteristic application in subdivided fields, cultivate and grow high-quality enterprises, create a good development environment, and promote the high-quality development of the robot industry.
