AGV is a flexible and intelligent handling robot. With the outbreak of the market, AGV cars have gradually entered people’s life. There is no need for manual work, automatic unloading of goods, and system control. For AGV robot, how does it know the surrounding environment?

The AGV robot transmits control signals through wired and wireless networks, uses navigation technology to perceive and obtain surrounding information for positioning, and adjusts the path independently according to the changes of the surrounding environment in the transportation process according to the pre-planned path. For example, AGV automatically avoids obstacles, automatically carries and unloads materials, and correctly docks to the target location.

Taking laser guided AGV robot as an example, it uses laser to sense and obtain the surrounding environment information. The laser guided robot is composed of a central computer, a wireless network, a laser, a linear drive motor, a rotary drive motor, a controller, etc. The central computer is responsible for the scheduling of the AGV robot, the wireless network is responsible for the information transmission between the central computer and the controller, the linear motor drives the AGV robot's movement in the x and y directions, and the rotary motor drives the laser to make a rotary movement to scan the surrounding environment 360 °, The controller controls the specific actions of the robot. The wall or pillar along the moving path of the AGV robot is equipped with positioning signs with reflective characteristics. The laser scanner installed on the AGV robot automatically scans and identifies the positioning signs set around the moving path according to a certain frequency. The laser scanner collects reflected light signals from more than three positioning signs in real time. The AGV airborne processor collects reflected light signals according to the location coordinates of these positioning signs, the angle between the reflected light and the scanner The current movement direction of the AGV. The current position of the AGV is calculated and compared with the built-in digital map to determine the current position. And calculate the position to be reached in the next step, and send the command to the controller to directly control the click action.

Laser guidance is characterized by high positioning accuracy, strong autonomy, high intelligence, strong adaptability and flexibility. Using laser guidance, AGV robot can accurately locate in the guidance area, and flexibly change the running path according to changes in production technology.

AGV is equipped with loading and unloading equipment that can adapt to a variety of materials, shapes, weights, etc., and is seamlessly connected with other equipment in the automatic logistics system to realize the flexibility of manufacturing and production logistics. AGV robot's movement path, transportation material type, quantity, etc. can be flexibly changed according to the change of production process flow, and become an important equipment constituting automatic production line, flexible production line, etc. With the development of modern manufacturing technology and production mode, the application of AGV is more and more in-depth.

BORUNTE robot, focusing on the R&D and production of industrial mobile robots, has achieved full coverage of independent R&D of core technologies such as robot bottom positioning algorithm, operating system and controller.
